Schoolery was created by teachers and parents who wanted learning to feel joyful, meaningful, and manageable—for both children and parents.
Our Story
Hi, I’m Stephanie, the Founder and CEO of Schoolery, a former teacher, and a mom of three.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved everything about education. I come from a family of teachers—including my mom—and I always knew I wanted to follow in their footsteps. Teaching hasn't just been a job for me; it's my calling.
After the birth of my second child, I stepped away from the classroom to focus on raising and teaching my own kids at home. I poured my passion into our everyday moments to make learning playful, creative, and fun.
But even with all my experience, I found myself overwhelmed by the constant prep work. I was always gathering supplies, searching for ideas, and trying to pull it all together. I needed something simpler—something structured, meaningful, and ready to go. And I realized other parents needed it too. So my mother and I teamed up (sometimes we unintentionally dress alike :P) and started creating materials for learning at home through play. That’s when Schoolery was born.

Founder & CEO
Stephanie has always had a heart for teaching. She began as a teen babysitter, later earned multiple teaching credentials, and has spent years exploring how children learn best. She enjoys combining her love of art, reading, and playful learning to create meaningful experiences for kids. Now as a mom of three, Stephanie is embracing a new chapter—teaching her own children at home and sharing what she’s learning with families everywhere—so learning can feel joyful, meaningful, and manageable.
Sherilyn Schoonmaker
Co-Founder
Sherilyn brings over 30 years of teaching experience and a deep love for children to everything she creates. As a devoted mom and grandma, she delights in taking her grandkids on learning adventures—whether it’s exploring a museum, visiting a hands-on activity center, or simply sharing a story. She finds joy in nature, gardening, and spending time with family, always looking for ways to spark curiosity and connection through meaningful experiences.
Giving Back
At Schoolery, we believe education is about more than academics — it’s about empathy, service, and love for others, especially in a time of great difficulty.
With every Schoolery purchase, we donate a portion of our proceeds to Millie’s Gift, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports families facing life-limiting prenatal diagnoses.
Through compassionate care and meaningful bonding ultrasounds, Millie’s Gift helps families cherish every heartbeat and moment together, no matter how brief.
Giving back isn’t a campaign for us — it’s a reflection of the love and values that shape our family and our work.
