Why Schoolery Exists

I kept noticing the same problem. Early learning resources were either packed with worksheets and pressure, too much prep work that the activity never comes about, or so open ended that I was left guessing if we were doing anything important.

There had to be a better way.

Schoolery is designed for preschool and early elementary learners, typically ages 3–6 (older age materials are in development), and the parents and caregivers supporting them at home. Schoolery was built to offer playful learning with purpose. Activities that invite curiosity and movement, while quietly building real skills underneath. Learning that feels like play, but actually goes somewhere.

What Is Schoolery?

Schoolery is a collection of themed learning units designed for early learners. Throughout the year, your child journeys through different ecosystems, learning letters and sounds, exploring early math, building fine motor skills, and discovering new ideas through art, movement, and simple science.

What Makes Schoolery Different

Play comes first.

No matter how hard I tried, or what bribes I offered, I could not get my kids to sit down and complete the learning workbooks I bought to use at home.

What did work was turning those activities into games. I hid letters around the room for them to find. I added movement to learning. I quickly drew simple game boards on paper and turned the work into play. Suddenly, my kids were engaged and curious.

That’s when it clicked.

When we created Schoolery, we made play come first because that’s how children learn best. Our activities are hands-on and play based, with real learning woven naturally into the experience.

Themes connect the learning.

Children love themes. They get excited to see what the next theme will be, and that excitement matters.

Themes also help learning make sense. Instead of jumping from one unrelated skill to another, children explore letters, numbers, and ideas within a shared world. Learning feels connected, meaningful, and fun.

Built for real homes.

Schoolery is designed to be used at the kitchen table, on the floor, or outside in the backyard.

Activities are meant to support parents, not add pressure or unrealistic expectations. Each activity is easy to prepare and ready to use when your child is ready to learn. I don’t have time to prepare elaborate activities ahead of time, and I knew other parents didn’t either.

Schoolery was built for real days, real homes, and real families.

Who is Behind Schoolery

Schoolery was created by a mom and a grandma who are both educators. I wanted something better for my own children, and I knew I couldn’t build it alone. So I asked my mom to join me, and together we turned a simple idea into Schoolery.

Between us, we bring years of classroom experience and real-life parenting to every activity. We know what works, what doesn’t, and what actually feels doable at home. Everything in Schoolery is designed with children in mind and parents at heart.

Schoolery-Style Activity

Here’s a quick activity you can try today using items you already have at home.

Roll and Say

• Write one letter, number, or shape on a piece of paper and place it on the floor. 
• You might choose the first letter of your child’s name, how old they are, or a shape from an object they love. 
• Take turns rolling a ball or toy car toward the paper.
• Each time it lands nearby, say the letter name or sound, say the number and count to that number, or name the shape out loud.

Want to extend it?

• Once your child is comfortable, place two or three letters, numbers, or shapes on the floor.
• Name whichever one the ball rolls closest to.
